Quantum Computing & High-Performance Computing (HPC)
DAMA leads in Quantum Computing by integrating quantum processors with supercomputers and hosting one of EuroHPC's six quantum computers, advancing Europe's quantum initiatives. Partnering with CINECA, it offers quantum emulators and hybrid HPC/QC workflows. Collaborations with companies like IQM and Pasqal drive innovation, highlighted by a recent successful implementation of a hybrid quantum-classical algorithm on Pasqal’s Fresnel, showcasing noise resilience in solving complex cellular network optimization problems.
AI Factory & Industry Applications
DAMA is also the headquarters of IT4LIA AI Factory, one of the first European AI Factories selected by the European Commission. This initiative will host a next-generation AI-optimized supercomputer to revolutionize industries such as climate science, cybersecurity, manufacturing, and logistics.
